In the Iroquois confederacy, there was a concept when making a decision, the leaders would imagine how the decision would effect through to the 7th generation. In thinking of generational blessings in scripture and how God blesses not just the present but the bloodline, our actions, our prayers, have a far greater effect than just the present. Sometimes we don’t always see the results now but we have faith that they will see fruition in time. Like weaving a basket, you must look ahead to see how all things are connected."
